The Nong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden in Thailand

This garden....kind of leaves me exhausted. Impressed, no doubt, but....wow. The land was purchased in the 1950s to be developed as a fruit plantation, but instead the owners decided to plant ornamentals and turn the property into a conservation center and tourist attraction. Now the gardens, which opened in 1980, cover 500 acres and are managed by the original owners' son. Among the many gardens are a French garden, a cactus and succulent garden, a European garden, a Stonehenge garden, an orchid and bromeliad display, and lots, lots more. The garden is a major cycad research center, and you can even rent cottages on the grounds. The website (http://www.nongnoochgardenpattaya.com/) has incredible photos and information. Check it out! Then imagine what it must be like to be in charge of those perfectly groomed hedges...

I'm in the mood for some home gardens. You? Send in some photos of yours to share! Email me at Michelle@GardenyGoodness.com. Seriously, we would love to see what you're up to in your garden. We don't bite!
